Quantum Scholars are excited to work alongside a reputable secondary school in Berkshire who are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Design & Technology Teacher to join them after Easter. This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist to take on a leadership role in a thriving school environment. The ideal candidate must be currently teaching in the UK, have significant UK teaching experience and be able to teach to A-Level!

The school hiring are a highly successful secondary school based in Berkshire. They offer excellent opportunities for professional development. They have students aged 11-18 years old. They’re rated as a “Good” school by Ofsted.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4

  • Leadership experience or the ability to lead and inspire a department

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Passion for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons

  • A proactive approach to teaching and a commitment to student development

  • Must have a right to work in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Design & Technology department

  • Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student experience

  • Maintain and develop a safe and inspiring classroom environment

  • Support the school in its mission to foster creativity and practical skills in students
