Quantum Scholars are working with a vibrant secondary school on the outskirts of Portsmouth that is seeking a committed and passionate Maths Teacher to join their school in September 2025. This role will be on a Long-Term contract lasting for 1 academic year.

The school hiring are located on the outskirts of Portsmouth. It is a large comprehensive secondary school that caters to students aged 11-16 years old. Their school strives to be a beacon of inclusove excellence where every student feels supported and valued.

Role Overview:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to inspire students and help them develop strong mathematical skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that values innovation and strives for excellence in its teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons for students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Differentiate lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and learning resources
  • Foster a positive and motivating classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
  • Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, activities, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role
  • A strong degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, ideally at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A commitment to promoting high standards and creating an inclusive learning environment
  • The ability to use a range of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Must have a right to work in the UK!
  • Must be available to start in September 2025!
