Job Advert: Maths Teacher (Summer Term Fixed Contract)

Quantum Scholars are working with a vibrant secondary school in Hertfordshire that is seeking a committed and passionate Maths Teacher to join their school for the summer term. The position is a fixed-term contract, running from after Easter until July 2025.
The school hiring are a mixed comprehensive secondary school based in Hertfordshire. It is situated in a lovely area however it is not an easily accessible school via public transport therefore the ideal candidate must be able to drive. The school are rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted. The behaviour of the students are also rated as Outstanding!
Role Overview:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to inspire students and help them develop strong mathematical skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons for students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Differentiate lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
- Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and learning resources
- Foster a positive and motivating classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
- Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students
- Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, activities, and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role
- A strong degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, ideally at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
- A commitment to promoting high standards and creating an inclusive learning environment
- The ability to use a range of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Must have a right to work in the UK!
- Must be available to start after Easter.
