Job Description:
Quantum Scholars are seeking a passionate and dedicated PSHE and RE Teacher for a long-term supply role in Merton, SW London. This one-year contract requires the ability to teach Religious Education (RE) up to GCSE level. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to make a significant impact in a supportive and dynamic environment. The role is paid to scale and you will effectively be part of the schools staff. This is an “Outstanding” rated school.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education) and RE.
– Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
– Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support student development.
– Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
– Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of the school’s PSHE and RE curriculum.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
– Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Proven experience teaching RE up to GCSE level.
– Strong knowledge of the PSHE and RE curriculum.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
– Must have right to work
– Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
– Additional qualifications or training in PSHE.
